The WVU Alumni of Central Florida Scholarships
The Marilu Adams Scholarship Fund was established in 2000 in memory of Marilu Adams, the long-time Secretary of the Central Florida Chapter of the WVU Alumni Association. Its objective is to annually award a scholarship to a Florida student-athlete attending West Virginia University. Initially endowed at $50,000, the scholarship’s current balance surpasses $60,000, permitting interest to fund the scholarship while preserving the principal. The goal is to increase this endowment to $100,000. Donations can be made directly via PayPal or by check to the WVU Foundation.
Additionally, the Central Florida WVU Student-Academic Scholarship Fund has, over the past three years, accumulated $16,831.57, surpassing its five-year target of $13,000. This fund began distributing $1,000 scholarships yearly starting from the Fall semester of 2019.
